My mother used to work for a munument company and I was amazed at the all the things I learned From her about burials and monuments. There is a court case in progress here over a woman who was buried on the wrong side of the plot. The cemetery wants to move her to the correct side but the family demand that the cemeterey give them the plot on the other side of her instead. The monument company is supposed to go to cemetery and actually determine the orientation of the grave BEFORE they letter a stone to prevent errors, but I'm sure this is not always done.
