Grantee/Grantor Index Terms: Character of Paper? - Damita Drayton Green
Subject: Grantee/Grantor Index Terms: Character of Paper?

While reviewing one of the SC county grantee/grantor indices (late 1800's), I came across the terms "full warranty", "half warranty", "partition by commission" and "B/S" under the column heading "Character of Paper". I understand that "character of paper" refers to the type of document in question. What do the other terms mean? What do types of documented transactions do each of these terms describe?

Thanks,
