Regarding Patti's post on Isaac Pendleton Graham:

This is probably too much of a long shot, but here goes.  I've just
started a search for my NC>SC>GA Graham and Hays family (my Sarah Graham
m. George Newton Hays 16 Oct 1794, prob. in SC).  The migration path
appears to be Caswell Co., NC>Pendleton Dist., SC>Newton Co., GA.

Anyway, I was wondering if Isaac's middle name "Pendleton" could be
after a place of residence--Pendleton District? Spartanburgh was near
Old Pendleton Dist--which is where the present-day counties of Oconee,
Pickens and Anderson are. Perhaps Isaac's family at one time lived in
Pendleton District?

I know very little of my Sarah Graham (m. George Newton Hays);  she was
born in 1775 in Caswell Co., NC; m. in 1794 SC?; and resided in what is
now Newton Co., GA by the early 1800s.

Is anyone else researching Grahams in SC?
