Hello Everyone

Looking for information on the Hendley Gordon family from Beaufort SC
about 1800 to 1815....

My g-g-g-grandfather, William I. Gordon was born about 1800 in SC..he
was in Liberty Co. Ga in 1820 where he married Amey Hope (d/o Sealia
Wright and William Hope). 

Recently I found an entry in a book about Jones Creek Baptist Church (in
Liberty Co Ga) about a Mrs. Mary Gordon, widow of Hendley, married to a
Richard Horne by at least 1814. Mary had a 3 children by Hendley Gordon.
Since William came from SC and named a son William Hendley Gordon, I
thought there might be a connection.

Also found an entry from SCROOTS-L from April 4, 1998 from a John
Hedderly looking for information on one of his family members who had
been sued by a John Gordon, merchant from Beaufort in 1761.  trying to
make connections....

Any help greatly appreciated...
