Mattie Elizabeth Barkley b. 3/9/1877 d. 1951
m. William Henry Goodrum b. 10/22/1874 in Madison GA d. 1942
They married in Pickens Co.(Easley) 1894.
They are buried in Elk City, OK

Mattie's father and mother:
John Barkley b. 11/25/1832 d. 6/25/1901
m. Elizabeth Couch b. 2/27/1827 d. 8/30/1901
They are buried Carmel Church Cemetery in Easley SC
(Info taken from gravestone during visit in October 1998)

Matties maternal grandparents:
Elizabeth Couch's parents ? Couch and ? Praytor/Prater/Prather

Mattie's paternal grandfather and grandmother:
Jim Barkley m. Melvina Lollis

I've located William Henry Goodrum's father, James Henry Goodrum
buried in the Goodrum family plot at Boggs Chapel Church in Athens
GA (renamed Gateway United Methodist in 1997).  His grave marked
with Civil War info 1st SC Orr's Rifles.
James Henry Goodrum b. 12/31/1842, d.1/1/1917 m. 1st Susan A.
Stephens.  Name of 2nd wife unknown.
Transcription of Athens obituary listed children of 2nd marriage.
Family plot also had 3 or 4 other graves, including Lee Goodrum
(brother that arranged for James Henry Goodrum burial according to
funeral parlor records).
James Henry Goodrum's parents were John Goodrum and (?Mary?) Bolt.
Susan A. Stephens parents were ? Stephens and ? Jolly/Jolley

I will appreciate any help with filling in the "branches" of my
family tree.
