Charles, would you do me a great favor and see if there are copies of any of
these 3 family histories in your local libraries or other repositories? I'm
trying to verify facts and see if I can located copies published or not of
works compiled by a kinsperson of mine Charles Edward Salinas Savannah GA in
the 1920s. The GIBBS Family History or the Condensed History of the Gibbs
Family are two titles on the typescript copy I have. He mentions 2 other
family histories compiled by him; one is Salinas Family; the other Smith
Family History. Just one family group in this typescript names the following
SC, NC , GA , KY , MS , PA surnames: BOURNE / BUTLER / GIBBS / GRUDGETT /
HAMILTON / SALINAS / SLAWSON / SLOAN / SMITH / SPENCER / STEINBECK /
McCLELLAND
