Hello Everyone...

I thought since I live in Germany that I would share with you the German
Equivalent of Thanksgiving.

As with our Thanksgiving, the Germans do celebrate the gift of bountious
foodstuffs.  On their holiday, items of food (vegies and such/no meats) are
brought into their churches, and laid before thier altars.  Here the priest
prays and gives thanks for the harvest that they have been given.  These
items are not sacraficed to their stomach's as such is the case with our
Turkey Day!  They do however make this a solom occasion.
