Subject: Georgetown Hotel From: darlene cantey Date: June 24, 1999 I am publishing a family diary of Emily Jordan Nesbit,daughter Col. Ralph Nesbit of Caledonia Plantation, Pawley's. The diary starts at age 15 from years 1890-1893. I have two questions. (1) Why would Emily not feel comfortable staying in the Georgetown Hotel with her father at this time? (2) She attended the SC School for Women during this time. Where can I find out about it?
