Hello,
Does anyone have information on the parents and siblings of Wade Hampton of
South Carolina.  I know he was a General during the Civil War and had a
cotton plantation prior to the war.  His sister, Rosa Hampton married in to
the Winn Family and my third Great grandparents, Michael and Tempestia
Howard named one of their sons, Wade Hampton.  We are trying to locate
Tempestia's family, and wonder if she could be a Hampton or a Winn.
Michael (b 1793, South Carolina - d 1851 Houston Co, GA); Tempestia born
1794, South Carolina - died after 1860, Houston Co, GA).  Any one recognize
this family?
