Joseph Nicholson of Charles Town, South Carolina , merchant dated 1 May 1764, 
about to depart for England. To the child of my sister Margaret Simpson, late 
of Badsworth near Doncaster, Yorkshire, deceased,  L 150. To my sister Nancy 
Nicholson of Badsworth, spinster, L 200. Residue to my wife Mary Nicholson 
and to our children. Executors, Robert Raper, Richard Downes, and Aaron 
Loocock of Charles Town, gents., and William Greenwood of London, merchant. 
Witnessed Robert Williams, Jr. William Stoutenburgh,.  Pn 19 June 1783 
administration was granted to Samuel Nicholson, one of children of the 
testator, late of the parish of St. John , Hackney, Middlesex: William 
Greenwood having renounced and the other executors not appearing.  (PRO: PCC
