SOUTHJ CAROLINA.  Will of Josias Du Pre of Portland Place, Middlesex. Esq.., 
dated 23 January 1778.  To my wife Rebecca all my jewels, plate, etc. and 
L10,000. To Charlotte Alexander, widow of my brother-in-lawWilliam Alexander, 
late of Cateaton Street, my friend James Alexander,Esq. now  residing in  
Ireland; and my friend Charles Foreman of St. Mary Hill, London Esq., 200 
guineas each to my sister Mary Magdalen Giguilliatt of South Caolina, widow , 
an annuity of L 100. To my nephew Josias Du Pre Porcher, now residing in 
London, son of my late sister Elizabeth Porcher by heer husband Paul Porcher  
 of South Carolina, planter, L 1000 when is 21, with remainder to my nephews 
and nieces, the sons and daughters of my late sister Jane Du Pont by her late 
husband Abraham Du Pont of South Carolina,plaanter; the children  of my late 
sister Elizabeth Porcher by Paul Porcher, and the children of my late sister 
Caroline Maxwell by husband Thomas Maxwell of South Carolina, planter. To my 
daughters, Elizabeth , Jane, Charlotte,, Maria, and Cornelia Ann Du Pre, L 
10,000when they are 21 or on marriage. (Many other bequests)  Residue of 
estate to James Alexander and Charles Foreman in trust. My estate at Wilton 
Park, Buckinghamshire to be charged with my wife's marriage provision.  
Executors: wife, James  Alexander, and Charles Foreman, who are to be 
guardians  of children. Witnessed  Jos. Cruttenden, Surgeons Hall.; W. Finch, 
Basinghall  Street; Thomas Asbury, Surgeons Hall. Will proved 27 October 1780
