You might want to contact the Greenville, SC County Library to see what
information is on file in the Stowe Historical Room on the Gassaway Mansion.
There was a very wealthy Gassaway family in Greenville who built a beautiful
home filled with Tiffany windows which later became the Greenville Museum of
Art before being sold to a private school group, then back to a family.  

There should be some history on file for the Gassaway's which might provide
some names.  Hope this helps.
