Hi folks - 
It's been a while since I've posted this information, so I hope no one will
mind if I try again.  I'm looking for family of my g-g-grandfather WILLIAM A.
GAINES.  He was born in SC.  I don't have a year, but believe it could range
anywhere from 1830-1850.  I do know he married a MATILDA FRANCES HURLEY b.
1841 in Mansfield, OH.  It was definitely her second marriage, but I don't
know about him.  There is only one child I know of from this union, CHARLES
AUSTIN GAINES b. 5-15-1880 in LaCygne, KS.  The Gaines family stayed in Kansas
for many years after that.  Is there anyone out there who has an idea about
Gaines families in SC during that time?  Any information would be gratefully
appreciated!
