I found the Fountain Inn Library listed under libraries in Greenville, SC.
I'm assuming then that it must be in Greenville's suburbs. Not familiar
 with Greenville that much.

Fountain Inn library is in Fountain Inn. It is a satellite library for a
small town and would not contain many if any genealogical records. The best
library is the Greenville Main library - very good genealogical collection on
the second floor. Secondly a good library is the Spartanburg County Main
library on Church Street in downtown Spartanburg, It contains a good
collection as well albeit much smaller than the Greenville one.
