Well, I'm glad to have helped someone on the FTM stuff.
Got lots more tho.
I was given Ver 7 by my brother as a present. So. I use it. Being a
control freak, I just had to re-claim the memory they hogged for no useful
reason other than as 'bells & whistles' to call it an upgrade.

This will save you 15.7 MEGABIGGIES!!!!

First, set up a folder on your main drive and label it "ftmdelete", or what
ever floats your flotsam.
Note here; I do not use the Help, maps, events, spell checker, nor do I
register any item any more.

Then, open your FTM main folder and drag out these items to that new folder.

Folders to drag out=
EREG
EVENTS
MAPS--that's a biggie
SPELL=that thang is worthless!

Files to drag out=
FTW32.hlp
Genehp32.hlp
License.doc
License.txt
Lincoln. bmp--Who in the South wants to see him?
Maplocs.hlp
Readme32.hlp

The reason to save these files for awhile is to satisfy your curiosity as to
if the FTM program will work after moving them.
Mine has worked perfectly since I got the program about 8 months ago and
stripped it.
Once you are satisfied that it still works, delete the folder that you
dragged everthing to.
As long as you have the disk, you have no problem.

Thanks!! I mean for telling me how to free up some memory space that is.
