Is anyone researching the Fortenberry family of Spartanburg, SC? I am trying 
to locate info about Charles Fortenberry who was born about 1814 in North 
Carolina. His wife was Alsey who was also born in NC. In 1840 he was in 
Spartanburg, SC and had three males under age 5. He moved from Spartanburg, 
SC in 1846 to Cherokee Co., AL. In the 1860 Cherokee Co., AL census he was 
46 years old, Alsey was 40, and they had the following children:

Isaac   22    SC
William   18    SC
Margaret   14    SC
Ebenezer   11   AL
James    9    AL
Martha    5    AL


Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly share the info I have.
