I found the following in PIONEER HISTORY OF FORSYTH
COUNTY, GEORGIA, by Don Shadburn, pg.73. 
I AM SEEKING INFORMATION ON THIS GROUP'S DECENDENTS.
My ggggrandfather M,W. Lord was a member.  I will be glad to share any
information

"Two companies of Forsyth County volunteers, the "Forsyth Guards"20
and the" Forsyth Volunteers", totaling 162 men, were raised in lieu of20
the draft by Arthur Erwin, Colonel of the 80th Reg't., 7th Division20
of Georgia Militia.20

The first company (Forsyth Guard?!   =C2=90# s) was led by Capt. James Gasto=

with 50 officers and privates.  Officers: Jesse Thomas, 1st Lt.;20
