Subject: Re: Felder (Clarendon Co), SC ??? From: Felder Phillips Date: April 14, 1999 Damita Green asked about a place called "Felder" in Clarendon Co., SC. Besides the "Felder" south of Orangeburg, an 1895 map shows a "Federville" east of Orangeburg, close to present day Clarendon Co. My official SC present day map doesn't show it, but a computer mapping program I have shows a "Felderville" on Rt. 301 about a mile west of the junction with Rt. 267. >From looking at it, I think that "Felderville" and "Federville" might be the same place. I don't know whether the county line has changed since 1895. My map program shows no Felder in present day Clarendon Co. This caught my eye, my middle name being Felder, which I share with my Father and Grandfather.
