Subject: Re: Feast Day of St. Jerome 1953 From: Urq5 Date: June 23, 1998 In a message dated 98-06-23 21:16:19 EDT, you write: << Can anyone tell us when this holiday is and the meaning or purpose? We found a research paper done by Leonardo Andrea that was dated Feast Day of St. Jerome 1953 - no other date. >> Greetings from South Carolina. In The Book of Common Prayer of the Episcopal Church, all the feast days and other special occasions are listed in the calendar for the church year. Days which celebrate the life of an individual are marked in the following order: name, title, date. I'm not sure if this is the answer to your question, but I found the following: 30 Jerome, Priest, and Monk of Bethlehem, 420 I noticed another entry which might be of interest to South Carolina researchers: 18 August William Porcher DuBose, Priest, 1918 Happy hunting and good health to you.
