HELP!!!!! Which mothership dropped off William [Bartholomew] BALL on 2
Dec 1767? And where was he set foot on Planet Earth? Parentage and place
of birth are not know.

About 1794 his name appears on a deliquent tax roll in Richmond Co., GA.
On 1 Jan 1796 he takes out a marriage bond in same county/state to marry
Charlotte LEE, also of unknown parentage. On 2 Oct 1809 William BALL
received a GA Passport to cross the Indian Nation Lands.

Although there was a William BALL on the 1810 Wayne Co., MS. Territory,
tax rolls, I have no proof that he was the same person for whom I am
searching. But the "correct" William BALL claimed a section of land in
Jackson Co., MS. Territory in Oct. 1811.

William BALL paid a poll tax only twice in Mississippi - in 1810 in
Wayne Co. and in 1814 in Jackson Co. The latter was recorded on a joint
Mobile, AL/Jackson Co., MS., tax record.

He only used the name Bartholomew publically twice -- enumerated on one
census as Bartholomew BALL and on one tax record.

If anyone can help me with parentage, place of birth, it would be very
much appreciated. Thank you.

Margaret Miller

PS: There's an outside chance this ancestor was born in SC and/or that
his father/grandfather was.
