Bob Brooke:

Concerning your query of April, 21; your efforts may have paid off.

 Information I have gathered over several years (from various sources)
indicates that Isaac II DuBose (b. 1693) was the brother of Daniel (b.
1695), both the sons of Isaac "the immigrant" who = Susanna Couillandeau.

Madelaine DuBose = Peter DuBose (1703-1757). They had four issue: Peter =
Sarah Unknown; Sarah (d. Oct. 11828, Ga.)= Isaac DuBose (1742-1816);
Elizabeth = Unknown Saul; and Isaac who died in infancy.

Can't help you with Esther, but you might check for "Hester" as the names
seem to have been used in either form by many families. I don't have either
one.

About Ann Royer, that one Daniel DuBose married: was she the daughter of
Pierre (b. France) that was the sister of Noe' (b. France - d. 1698,
Charleston) who = Judith Gitton [ i.e., the son of Noe Royer and Madeleine
Saulnier ( both b. France, d. Charleston)]? Noe and Judith had a son,
Pierre (b. abt 1697, Chas.) but he is believed dead bef. Nov. 26, 1699 when
not listed in a legal document.

Capt. Elias Isaac DuBose (1737-1789) = Lydia Cassel. Their children: Elias
Isaac Jr. (b. 1763) = Martha Law; Margaret (b. Dec. 18, 1765); Benjamin;
Mary (1774-1834) = William Law II; and Isaiah = Gilly H. Benton. I did not
have Ezekial, but he fits right in the date span. They are not listed in St.
James Santee Parish records, but that is not definitive.

If anyone can correct errors, please do not hesitate to do so, as I have no
proof of the above, except for the Royer/Gitton records.

 Your information filled some of my blanks. Hope this does the same for you.

Edward Manigault
