Good Morning Edwards researchers,

I have my Edwards family back to Isaac EDWARDS, b 1790-1800 in NC.
That's all I know for sure. He was in Montgomery Co, GA paying taxes in
1822. He had two sons and a daughter born between 1820-25. Their names
were William, Ferniford, and Sarah. His wife's name was Rachel.

He also served as the attorney for Dempsey WOOD, SR. who received a
Revolutionary War pension. Dempsey WOOD was from Bertie Co, NC.

I am also researching another EDWARDS from NC. His name was Matthew
EDWARDS who migrated from VA to Duplin Co, NC. He was the second husband
of Mary MYRICK DUKE. Her father was Francis MYRICK of VA. Her first
husband was John DUKE of VA/NC of the DUKE and BYRD families. Matthew
EDWARDS and Mary MYRICK DUKE were married by 1755 and soon after moved to
the Duplin Co area. Mary's daughter Ann DUKE married Onesimus FUTCH, RS
From Duplin Co area. They are my ancestors also.

There is a will for a Matthew EDWARDS in the NC archives which I need to
get a copy of, hoping to find a reference to his step daughter Ann DUKE
FUTCH.

Do you match any of these names. Please respond. Good luck with your
research.

Tonia Edwards
