Subject: Drum Major?? From: LEVI226 Date: April 19, 1998 I have another question re: military subject. I received a bit of information on my 3Xgrandfather from the Gen Library in NC, and it says he (Capt. John Levi) was a "Drum Major" in the Revolutionary War. Howerer, I have information that says he was born in 1798, died in 1873, and this information is from his grave stone inscription. His head stone also says "Mexican War". Does that sound right? I am confused. Could they have been referring to his father when they mentioned that he was in the Rev. War? I don't know his father's name, but it could have also been John LEVI. I'm not too savy on the Wars, as I am just beginning my search for my ancestors in the Military. If someone could give me some insight on this, I would be grateful.
