I am researching my ggrandfather, William DRIGGERS, b 1813, Orangeburgh,
SC.  He arrived in Red River County, TX Nov 1839.  He died in Fannin
County, Texas Nov 1896.  Parents names unknown.  The following are
people listed on the 1820 SC census that are a possibilty of being his
father:  Thomas Drigers, Marion CO; Issac Drigers, Marion Co; Margaret
Driggers, Colletton Co; Matthew Driggers, Charleston; and, Myers
Drigges, Orangeburgh Co. (On the census his last name is spelled
Drigers).  When William arrieved in Texas his name was spelled Drigers.

I have sent to the SC archives for copy of two abstracts mentioned on
Driggers.
