INDENTURE:  between EDWARD CAGE of Charles Town, SC, merchant, only son
and heir of ROBERT CAGE, late of same place, merchant, dec. of the one
part and WILLIAM GIBBON of said town, merchant, of the other part, that
for consideration of L.600 c.m. paid before delivery of these presents
has sold to said Gibbon part of town lot No. 325 lying in street
commonly called the Bay in said town now occupied by DR. JOHN HUTCHINSON
and bounding N on house of Mr. ANDREW ALLEN, merchant, and S on house of
Mr. ANTHONY MATHEWS, merchant,..... for a period of 3 years to expire 1
Jone 1717 to said HUTCHINSON and rents from thence forth payable to
Lords Proprs...... and it is declared and agreed by and between the said
parties to these presents that the said GIBBON shall take the rents
reserved by said lease made of the said HUTCHINSON...... Lastly the said
CAGE does grant to said GIBON htat part of said town lot....... Signed:

MEMORANDUM:  DR. JOHN HUGCHINSON the within named leasee having heard
this present Indenture read, does consent there unto and "doth attorne
Tenant" to the within named WILLIAM GIBBON for said part town lot.
