Subject: Re: DNA Project From: Gale Sanders Date: February 22, 2001 If really interested, there are two that I know of and probably more will be popping up along the way, since they've broken the code on DNA. The one I was talking about is the one that is being conducted by Prof. Scott Woodward of BYU (Brigham Young University) he and others are conducting a large research project to construct a genealogy library based on DNA. Their goal to put it simply, is to construct a family tree for the human race. To read about the project go to their website: http://molecular-genealogy.byu.edu/ I recently watched a PBS special about how Scott Woodward and others went to Egypt to gather DNA to try and make a geanealogy chart for the Pharaohs. Their goal is what attracted me. They are also privately funded. Not like the next one I will mention. The other one is: The Human Genome Project and haven't read about them yet. I'm leaning more towards the the one being conducted by Scott Woodward. This one is funded by the government.
