Subject: DISSATISFACTION WITH GENERATIONS FAMILY TREE

I was given Generations FamilyTree Grande Suite as a gift recently. After becoming somewhat familiar with the program I began trying to use some of the features of the picture program (snapshot) After much frustration I called the technical support people (at my expense) to finally be told that there was most likely a fault with the CD used to install the program. I was told that without a receipt it would cost me $10 to get a replacement CD. I guess that I am old fashion but something doesn't look right to me with this picture.  As a customer I receive a program which a Sierra rep. tells me is defective but it will cost me $10 to get a good disk . That is in addition to what I spent in  Long distance phone calls.I guess it is an issue of trust but to me it "ain't customer friendly".If anyone out there has had better luck with other programs I would like to hear about them.
