I'm not certain that this subject is of interest to the entire list so if
you wish to respond, please e-mail me privately.

I recently read with great interest, an article that reported some libraries
and are now allowing camera's into their reference room if permission is
obtained prior to entry.  I was wondering if anyone on this list has had the
opportunity to copy a manuscript or book page using a digital camera then
downloading the picture into their computer at home.  If so, are you
satisfied with the results and what type of equipment did you use?
I am planning my itinerary for a fall trip to the South Carolina State
Department of Archives and History in Columbia and would be very interested
in your comments.
