I cannot access my program that has the Joel Davis line, but I believe, if I
remember correctly, that Joel Davis is father to Jesse Daniel Davis --
possibly g-father.  The database that I can access has Jesse Daniel Davis as
earliest ancestor.  I do have other Davis info but until I get some bugs
worked out of my main genealogy program, I am working in the dark.  If this
sounds familiar to you, I do have a couple of contacts in the Sumter, SC area
who are researching the Davis line and have much more information than I do.
