Trying to untangle the various DAVIS families in Newberry, Anderson
Counties.  I have checked the marriage records on-line in the SC GEN WEB
site as well as marriages on FTM CD's.  Cannot find marriage records for
Van Davis-Susannah Cary, or Van and Rebecca Brimer, widow of Benj. Brimer,
or Van and Lucy Anderson or for Eliphas (b 1775) and Martha?
Van Davis was in Newberry County until 1800 when he moved to Anderson
County.  This information is from church records of the Bush River Baptist
Church which shows he transferred his membership to Shockley Ferry Baptist
Church, Anderson Co. in 1800.  Van had six sons, six dtrs.  Sons were
Hezekiah, Abijah (died as a young man), Nathan,  Van Jr, Jesse, Eliphas.
Dtrs. were Martha, Rachel, Hannah, Jane, Rhoda, Milea.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
