You need to write to Colonial Dames.  Give them your full name and any
ancestors who think that may have been members. You can also ask about
Colonial ancestors and if they have been previously used as an ancestor.

Washington, DC 20036-1595

They do not have a large staff.  It may take some time to do these look ups
for you.  Give them time, they will help.

Where are you located Heide?  If you were trying to become a member of my
chapter we would be doing everything in our power to help you with your
application.  First rule....Just take it one generation at the time.  Fully
document one before going on to the next.  It's not half as difficult as it
looks.  If it were there would not be almost 200,000 DAR members worldwide
(and there is).
