I just wanted to add a clarification to DAR membership -- you must be invited 
by a local chapter to join the national organization. 
The method: 
You can attend 2 meetings of the chapter, then you are voted on by the 
chapter. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE YOUR LINEAGE PROVEN OR DOCUMENTED BEFORE 
JOINING at the chapter level. After being voted on by the local chapter, you 
have a year to fill out your papers and they are quite helpful in getting 
your paperwork done. After you submit your papers, your data is reviewed. 
These acceptance reviews are only done a couple times a year, so it can be 
months before you get your national number and become a full member.
Just wanted to know that NSDAR will accept you and help you with your lineage 
before you become a full member.
