Information you put in your personal files is ok - that is research - but you may not publish that information if it contains full quotations from another's work. Web pages are printed material like books. Putting something out on the internet is like publishing. Copyright rules apply. Bottom line - if you copied original records from the microfilm - you can post without source credit. If you didn't copy it from the microfilm - somebody else did and the credit and copyright is theirs - and their choice to waive or not. Cynthia expressly reserved copyright. The law was broken.
