My name is Katie Taylor and I am researching my South
Carolina ancestors.
Nathan boone born after 1755 in Pendleton County SC,
died before 1848 in Pickens County
South Carolina. He was married to Francis??

    Martha Boone, his daughter, b 10/22/1804 d 1/19/1876,
was married to William Curtiss, b 3/3/1804
Pendleton Dist, SC died 9/21/1887 Gordon County GA.

William Curtiss father was Namon Curtiss Sr. b 1778, d
1826 in Pickens Cty, SC. married to Mildred "Milly".

Someone sent me some family history information that
said Namon's wife was of German descent. The story says
that Namon and his son, John used to go to Agusta, Ga and
that on one of those trips John contracted smallpox. Namon
and John died and were buried on the "old Curtiss" place on
the Kuowee River. Sarah and a blind slave are supposed to
have buried Namon and John there near Anderson on the
Kuowee River. Their graves are supposed to be built up with
a tomb of stones and in good condition.

Does anyone have knowledge of these grave sites or about the
family history of either the Boone or the Curtiss line? Any
help will be appreciated. I have quite alot of information
about my line of descent and am happy to share it. Thanks
for any help.
