Mel, I have a couple of CROFT names.

Ann Lucinda CROFT, b 3 Feb. 1803 d 1 Oct. 1868
married Elisha LEAGUE 10 Mar. 1821 Greenville County, SC
(I have their descendants.)

Mary "Polly" CROFT, b c 1820 d 3 Apr. 1888 Greenville Co.
(daughter of George CROFT)
married (1) Joshua P. LEAGUE 27 Oct. 1843
(I have their descendants also.)
       	 (2) James Robert LEAGUE c 1855
The family home was on what is now known as the Jonesville
Road, northeast of Simpsonville, Greenville County.
In the 1850 Census there was a free Negro named James Valentine,
a blacksmith, listed in his household.
In 1880 there lived in his household W. J. Ashmore, niece of Joshua,
age 17, and Thomas J. League, his nephew age 17.

I hope this information fits into your family history.
Claud Eaton
