I am searching for info on the CORTES familes of Charleston.
I have a Matilda HARRISON b.c. 1865 Adam's Run, SC that is
suppose to be related to the CORTES. This family may have
been Native American.

The only info I have found on this surname is as follows:

I haven't looked up the pages in the census yet. The
Mullato, White, and Black listings give me hope.

Any CORTES, HARRISON, PENDARVIS, SHOKES connections out
there?
