If anyone knows how to force hundreds of members of a mailing list to
always change the subject line, and do everything, every time in the
"proper" way, I wish they would share the secret with me.

The lists that I manage are made up of many people, many that are not well
versed in the "proper" way to do things.  Even so, we share lots of info,
some of which is even important to me.  It is my assumption that people who
want things done too well or too "proper" (because they get too much E-mail
and can't possibly read it all), don't need to be members of mailing list.

I get lots of E-mail.  I scan it all.  You never know when that tidbit you
have been seeking may be hidden there.  I also use my delete key a lot.  I
think that is why they put one on the computer.  In fact I use the delete
key a lot on messages telling everyone the "proper" way things should be
done.  After all, the person who joins the list tomorrow didn't receive
those directions.
