Janet, I just joined.

Are you saying that someone has complained about the subject line in the
past?
Like maybe it started out as "William Byrd" and 100 years later in the
thread it was still William Byrd although the message body was now into Mark
Furhman and Hitlery Rodham?
I would think that if a daughter of William Byrd married a Strickland that
married a Davis that marr....and the resultant line of discussion could be
easily put in the subject line.
"Byrd/Strickland/Davis/Whoever/Etc..........

No  big deal there, would you not think?
However, it is advisable to read/scan the mails as you so state, but the
subject line has a lot to do with what will be or not be scanned.
