LaRoche b. Sept. 27, 1874 parents Joseph Oswald and Mary Marie McCants.

May 8, 1875 Barnwell Baptized Martha Sophia b. Oct. 19, 1874, parents
Laurent(?) & Adalade Hallonquist sp. M. Donald Sams and Mary Brown

Jan. 11, Sunday 1876 Spent evening with Richard LaRoche.  His little
daughter whom I baptized when last here left him for Paradise.

March 22, 1876 Present at the funeral of Mrs. Henry Smith (Aiken)

Feb.7, 1875 parents Sydney A.and Emily S. Legare sp. Dr. Paul F. & Mrs.
Ned Jenkins and the mother.  (probably Toogoodoo)

Sept. 26, 1875 James T. Aldrich departed this life about 11 PM.
28th Said the Burial Service at the Baptist Church for the conveninece
of the public over the remains of James T (F) Aldrich. DR.Palmer and Mr.
Linsey made some remarks.  The procession reformed and proceeded to the
Episcopal Church yard where I concluded the service at the grave.  The
Court adjourned to attend the funeral & the citizens of Barnwell Town
were genereally present.  A drizzling rain fell on us at the grave.

Friday 31 March 1876, The Bishop Howe confirmed Mrs. Ellen Rebecca Tyson
at Elko.

April 10 Monday 1876 Col. W. P. Finley departed this life yesterday 
11th 5 PM At the Presbyterian Meeting House Funeral W. P. Finley Sermon
by Simlar(?) Presbyterian minister.  The burial post poned on account of
the absence of Mrs. Hess Weston.

Sunday 28 January 1877 Received a note with request from W. W. Clement
jun. to bury his father.  I set out immediately after service in a cart
for Sidney King's where most of the white men and women from Willtown
Bluff and Rantol's Creek where assembled & I said the Burial Service as
much as was proper, then headed the procession some 3 miles or more to
the family burying ground on Hnery Swinton's plantation & committed to
the grave the remains of Dr. Warren Wilkinson Clment Born 16th April
1812 d. Jan. 27, 1 AM 1877 & in this burying grund rest the remains of
the first wife of John LaRoche and several of their children.
