Seeking information on the elusive CORLEYs! Anyone out there researching
Balaam CORLEY, b. 1803 in SC. He married Mariah D. ?, b. 1805 in SC. Balaam
is listed in the 1830 Edgefield Dist., SC and in Jasper Co. MS census in
1840 and 1850. About 1855, Balaam bought land in Jones Co. MS and lived
there until his death, before 1870.

Known children of Balaam and Mariah are:
Balaam Jr., b. 1833
Patsy A., b. March 19, 1835
Franklin, b. 1837
Mary, b. 1840
Ann Eliza, b. 1842
William G., b. 1844

I'm especially interested in learning about what happened to Balaam's
children. I believe either Mary or Ann Eliza is the mother of my
great-grandfather, Hiram A. "Biff" CORLEY, b. 1868 in Jones Co., although
there may have been other daughters I'm not aware of. Biff is listed in the
1870 census in Mariah's household.
