Here are about 2 dozen confederates who are buried in Greenwood County. 
This is a part of my "South Carolina in the Civil War" and was extracted

Tombstone Inscriptions from Family Graveyards in Greenwood County,
SC. Watson, Margaret J. and Watson, Louise M. 1972. Drinkard
Printing Co., Greenwood, SC.

Dyson, James Morgan / 2nd Lieut. Co. C 14 SC Inf. C.S.A. 5 OCT 1842
- 4 JUL 1881.  Lt. Dyson is buried in the Dyson graveyard located
on the west side of state highway 702 just south of the junction of
county road 42.  It is a large graveyard on a little knoll,
enclosed by a rock wall.  There is a Confederate cross on grave.
His wife, Floried Mars (14 JUL 1843 - 31 JUL 1879) is buried next
to him.  Sons John B. (3 MAR 1867 - 2 FEB 1887) and Robert A. (7
JUL 1870 - 15 NOV 1890) are buried next to their mother.

Dyson, Thomas J. / Capt. Born 10 DEC 1810 - 15 MAY 1872. 
Inscription on his gravestone.  He was an affectionate Husband, a
kind father - and respected by all who knew him. Capt. Dyson is
buried in the Dyson graveyard located on the west side of state
highway 702 just south of the junction of county road 42.  It is a
large graveyard on a little knoll, enclosed by a rock wall.  There
is a Confederate cross on grave.  His wife, Narcissa Atwood (17 JAN
1826 - 17 DEC 1900) is buried next to him.  Their son, Thomas J.
Dyson, Jr. (25 SEP 1868 - 10 SEP 1929) is buried nearby.

Grayham, C. N. / Co. G Orr's Rgt. SCV.  Born 5 NOV 1825.  Died at
Richmond, VA 3 JUL 1862.  He was a member of the Baptist Church at
Walnut Grove for many years.  He is buried in the Graham-Moore
Cemetery.  To reach this graveyard turn right (east) from highway
25 north at Good Hope Baptist Church onto county road 26 which
shortly merges with county road 96.  After about one mile the road
curves to the left, but there is a field or logging road on the
right (south) and that trail leads to the cemetery, about one half
mile in a wooded area not far north of Mulberry Creek.

Hutchison, J. W. / born 1829 - ?? MAY 1864) Killed in the Battle of
the Wilderness.  In the Phoenix community on the east side of
county road 320 is a two-story frame house, long the home of J. S.
Chipley, son-in-law of Maximilian Hutchison who built the house in
1822.  Southeast of this house, in teh woods is a dense covering of
periwinkle and the one tombstone, that of J. W. Hutchison.
J. W. was one of the 10 children of Maximilian and Lydia Lake
Hutchison.  It is likely that other members of the Hutchison and
Chipley family are buried here.  Jonathan Sylvester Chipley married
Mary Hutchison.

King, Henry C. / 2nd Lt. C. S. A - Co. G 7th SC Inf. 25 OCT 1834 -
27 FEB 1909 (08?).  Lt. King is buried in the Mathews-King
Cemetery, nine miles southeast of Ninety Six on highway 246 in the
Cambridge community.

King, W. D. / Co. G 2nd SC Cav. C. S. A. 7 NOV 1844 - 15 APR 1920.
W. D. King is buried in the Mathews-King Cemetery, nine miles
southeast of Ninety Six on highway 246 in the Cambridge community.

Cooper, Franklin V. / 1 MAY 1827 - 8 NOV 1906.  There is a
confederate marker on his grave.  He is buried in the Mount Hermon
Cemetery at the site of the Mount Hermon Baptist Church on a hill
on the south side of county road 102 just before its junction iwht
state highway 246, seven miles south of Ninety Six.  His wife,
Elizabeth J. is buried next to him.

McKee, C. H. / 17 JUN 1831 - 4 APR 1862.  His gravestone reads,
"Died in the service of the Confederate States."  C. H. is buried
in the Parker Cemetery in the Belle Meade subdivision between
Yosemite Drive and Evergreen Avenue, south of Belle Court.

Jones, Joshua W. / Co. B 2nd SC Rifles - 7th Reg. Inf. 18 DEC 1810
- 8 FEB 1862.  Joshua is buried in the Partlow Cemetery on the
south side of secondary road 148 (West Alexander extension) 1.2
miles beyond the railroad overpass and just west of Hard Labor
Creek.

Creswell, ? 16 JUL. 1841 - 20 SEP 1861.  His gravestone reads, "He
was a gallant Confederate soldier, and died in the service of his
country.  The battle fought, the victory won.  He is buried in the
Perryman Cemetery located on road 131 across the road from the
Scotch Cross house.  It is surrounded by a fence in the middle of
a cleared field.  The enclosure and tombstones are visible from
highway 25 and road 131.

Creswell, Edward W. / Co. E C. S. A.  18 MAY 1847 - 8 JAN 1926.
Edward is buried in the Perryman Cemetery located on road 131
across the road from the Scotch Cross house.  It is surrounded by
a fence in the middle of a cleared field.  The enclosure and
tombstones are visible from highway 25 and road 131.

Fleming, Robert Franklin ' Co. A 3rd SC Regiment - Kershaw's
Brigade, C. S. A.  11 OCT 1840 - 19 MAR 1921.  Robert is buried in
the Perryman Cemetery located on road 131 across the road from the
Scotch Cross house.  It is surrounded by a fence in the middle of
a cleared field.  The enclosure and tombstones are visible from
highway 25 and road 131.  His wife, Z. Estelle Creswell (4 SEP 1851
- 2 AUG 1929) is buried next to him.

Creswell, Capt. H. H. / 14 APR 1813 - 23 MAR 1896.  His gravestone
reads; "Sacred to the memory of our beloved father... (23rd Psalm
quotation) (Stone broken).  Capt. Creswell is buried in the
Perryman Cemetery located on road 131 across the road from the
Scotch Cross house.  It is surrounded by a fence in the middle of
a cleared field.  The enclosure and tombstones are visible from
highway 25 and road 131.

Johnson, G. W. / 1824 - 1895. Confederate cross on grave.  G. W. is
buried in the Jacob Rush Cemetery, one mile southwest of the
Rushville community in southern Greenwood County.  The cemetery is
a few hundred yards south of a sharp curve in secondary road 106.

Wate, Charles Henry C. / Co. G 1st Regt. S. C. V.  A memorial
marker to Charles is erected in the Sister Springs Baptist Church
Cemetery located just over a mile east of state highway 246 from a
point 4 /14 miles south of Ninety Six.  There is a trace of a road
From highway 246 and it can be followed for almost a mile, then, on
foot, to the right through dense woods and down a steep hill.  The
memorial reads, "In memory of Charles Henry C. Wate, eldest son of
David and Mary Wate who was born Feb. 16, 1845.  In his 13th year
he embraced Religion, about two years after which he united himself
with Sister Springs Baptist Church and was baptised aug. 19th,
1860.  In 1861 he hoined the Confederacy and was mustered into
service the 18th August at Richmond, Va. in Co. G. 1st Rgt. S. C.
V.  During the time he was in service he fought through 10 battles
and in the 11th which took place July 1, 1863 at Gettysburg, Pa. 
he was mortally wounded and that night his happy spirit entered teh
blessed abode of the saints.  His body now lies at Gettysburg, Pa. 
he was aged 18 yrs. 4 mos. and 18 days. - By his parents.

Hackett, Thomas Lipscomb / Co. C 6th Regt. SC Cav.  His gravestone
reads; "This stone is erected to the memory of Thomas Lipscomb
hackett, son of Martin and Mary S. Hackett - Born Dec 11, 1845.  He
was a member of Co. C 6th Regt. So. Car. Cavalry and was killed at
the battle of Ream's Station in Virginia the 25th AUG, 1864.  He
fell like a gallant soldier with his face to the foe.  He was an
affectionate child and his aged parents will always mourn his
untimely death".  Thomas is buried in the Waller Cemetery, on
Scotch Cross Road (secondary 131) near the home of J. Sam Vines on
the south side just west of the junction of a county road south
From Mount Lebanon Methodist Church.  To the west of the Vines'
home is a farm road leading south for about a quarter of a mile,
then east up a hill for a hundred yards.  to the left (north)
across a clearing is the graveyard.
