Hello everyone,  I'm a newcomer with a baffling problem.  Most of my genealogy
was done by my preceding generations.....but they left me with a
gggggrandfather DANIEL COBIA, born 1714, Charleston, S. Carolina....died 1794
Hi wife was listed as B.........COBIA.  They had 6 children.......John Conrad,
Francis Joseph, Daniel Jr., Mary, Michael and Nicholas.   I can't find Daniels
wife, or mother and father.  The mother and father had to come over on one of
the ships before 1714, since Daniel was born here.  I am told that they were
Huguenots and could have left France at the time of persecution or migrated to
another country and then came over...  It is believed, that at one time there
name could have been De Corbiere....... Savoie, France.  

Maybe someone out there has the key to unlock this door....... I wish all of
you the
