    Right now, it looks as if these Clarkes are part of three families.  The J.
B. Clarkes, Jr and Sr. and the little John Clarke with the Nevitts are part of
my John Baylis Clarke family. Henry Clarke, James Clarke, and JK(or A} are part
of the Henry Clarke family.  Jane Clarke, 48 is the widow of Matthew Clarke.  We
are left with Ann Clarke, 81, and Joseph Clarke, 16, a student who could be from
a neighboring town.

From the 1840 Anderson census, we have these names:

   We have Henry, John B., and Matthew that we know, but don't know if they are
related.  Who are Joseph and Norman Clark?  I also know of an Eli Clarke from a
Clarke researcher who was a resident of Anderson Co when he married Pamela
Thomas in 1834 but left the area by 1840.
    I know of at least four or five researchers who are working on these
Anderson Co. Clarke\Clark families. At this time we do not know if these
Clarke\Clark families are related..  Is there anyone else out there researching
Clarkes in Anderson Co. SC who might know who the mystery Clarkes are--Ann
Clarke, 81, in 1850. and Joseph and Norman from the 1840 census or have
information that might help connect the other Clarke families?  If you have any
information about any Clarkes in Anderson Co., SC,  I would love to hear from
you.
