Subject: Re: Civil War, HELP PLEASE From: Don L Geary Date: July 30, 1998 Hi Rose, Just have a question about your Message. It says that WILLIAM was a Major in the 2nd Battalion Infantry and he died in 1884 at the age of 34. That would mean he was 14 years old at the end of the Civil War. I know there was a lot of young boys in the war towards the end, but don't you think 14 yrs old is a little young to hold the rank of Major? You might want to find out what the S.C.V.T. stood for. Good luck, Don Geary P.S. If you don't mind, let me know what you find out. <------------------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------> On Thu, 30 Jul 1998 16:39:06 EDT [email protected] writes: >I am trying to find William M.
