I have placed another thousand names on line at my  Civil War in South

These names are men who served in the 5th SC Infantry, formed from
Spartanburg, Union, and York Counties primarily.  They served in every
major battle in the Virginia theatre except for Gettysburg, as they were
on detached duty in NC during that time.

The Civil War in South Carolina site now has information on 3,553 men on
line - approx 6% or the men who served from South Carolina.  We have now
found about half the men who served, so if you need a lookup, drop me a
note.
