Subject: Civil War Pension Application From: James Goodman Date: May 09, 1998 When I first became a rooter, I learned of a site in TX that you could look up a civil war vet and order the pension application. What I didn't realize was that it was just for TX vets. So, I have this Pension application for John Hyman Johnson who served in Company D, 15 Texas Cavalry that doesn't connect to me. It says that he was born in Franklin Co. AL. He had been in Erath Co. TX since 1848. He was 71 in 1909. I also have his wife's widow's application. Her name was "Mrs. A. Johnson". If this sounds like anyone's lost relative, I would be willing to share it.
