Does someone have access to  the City Directories of Charleston, So.
Carolina?  I read that there is a large number of them on
microfilm/microfiche.  I am interested in the Name Pinckney Alexander
Norwood, in particular, and also the G.A. Norwood & Co.(who purchased a
plot of land in 1892 from Mrs. Mary Jane Cone.  One of the previous
owners of said land had been Pinckney Lacy.  All the Names are there!!
Pinckney Alexander NORWOOD was born Nov.3,1861, poss. in Colleton Co.
where this land transaction took place. He married 1st Mary--? ca. 1880.
2nd he m. Rose or Rosamond Wilson (or Hargroves) and had three girls..
Lottie Ethel,m.Myers; Ruby Lee m. Bass Fletcher and Mary Louise m. J.Sam
Yeomans.  Burials are in Whitehall at Black Creek Cemetery.
 I have no proofs of marriages, births, parents of Pinckney.  Thanks for
