Hello (again)
I am still searching for the following surnames that lived in Charleston
circa 1800-1880
WHITE, John, William T., Edwin Ruthven, Robert Downie, Isabella, James Evans
GODDARD, Peter Cuttino and William H. (Huguenots)
SANGSTER, George, William
RUGER, Valentine
TURNBULL, James, Robert James, William A.
HAUCK, Ann
MATHEISON, Clara
Thank you.
John White and his sons were well-known stonemasons constructing many
historic buildings, - Hibernian Hall, Market Center, Parts of the Citadel,
Fireproof Building, etc.
Goddards had plantations as did Rugers. Peter C. Goddard was also a physician.
Turnbull was a mercahnt and publisher of the 1859 City directory.
Thank you
Bob White
