Would like to say that I got STUCK too! <> re:
Margaret's email to me.

re: http://www.charlestoncounty.org

Took 2 tries for me to download the browser.

Then, I had to read and re-read the instructions. I did
notice that the biggest change was when I hit DOCUMENT, and
not VIEW at the end of the information entry.

I'm one of those people who will play with the info until I
learn what to do.

From what I was told... not all documents could be
microfilmed because of the condition of the book and/or the
bindings. I'm not sure of the index though. It seems that
all the documents could have been indexed even if access to
all the documents were not possible.

So, if you come up with a book and page #, then you atleast
have a source! If you can't find it on the net, then call
and order a copy, or take a trip to the courthouse if that
is within reason.

The most vaulable genealogical info I found was on the back
of the Tax Map Card... where it listed the Will and Deed
Book ref. #s. I'm sure that is something that has to be
copied at the courthouse, Auditor's Office.

If I'm wrong, or I find any information that may be helpful,
or if I need help... I'll be back! ~
