Thank you so much for your reply. I should have elaborated: I wrote to
Wofford and they were very nice, but could find no record of a Louis
Harrison. Some of their records for that period are missing, so that doesn't
mean he didn't attend.

I've checked the Charleston cemeteries to see if Louis' father might be
buried there. No Harrisons. But he could have died elsewhere. I've checked
the Confed. Pension records for a Harrison that might be him. Everything
I've traced has hit the wall!

I have a feeling these folks were very poor ... didn't own any land or
anything. So, may not have paid taxes. I'll just keep chipping away at
everything I can think of.

Appreciate your tip ... got any more???
